Tridium has a quality engineering team, but is sometimes overloaded with new product development and other tasks in support of their existing product line. When required to meet aggressive product development goals, Tridium needs help from an experienced design partner they can trust to function autonomously and deliver solutions that meet stated requirements.
Neoventus supported Tridium in the development an embedded controller based on TI’s OMAP family. This controller supported a combination of the following peripherals and features: LPDDR memory, NOR & NAND Flash, LCD display, Tri-mode Ethernet, USB host controller, 802.15.4, PoE, 802.11g, UART, and a full battery backup system. Neoventus implemented the design based on input from Tridium engineers to meet power budgets and mechanical constraints. The system was designed to support multiple configurations and power options to target several market segments. Neoventus handled the design and layout of the board and then transitioned fabrication collateral to Tridium’s contract manufacturer for the prototyping and production phases.
