Jim Grimes received the B.S. degree in Physics from James Madison University in 1984. Since then, he has continued his education with classes in C and HDL programming, Signal Processing, Quality (Six-sigma), Technical Leadership, and many specific design tool related courses.  His experience includes 25 years of system, circuit, and software design, for military,industrial, and commercial applications.

Jim is currently President and CEO for Neoventus, but is still heavily involved in design direction.Previously he has served as Senior Staff Engineer at ADI Engineering; Lead and Senior Staff Systems Engineer for GE Fanuc Automation; and Digital Design Engineer at Westinghouse Electric (both the Oceanic Division, Annapolis and Airborne Radar Division, Baltimore).

Jim is a skilled engineer excelling in system level design and high speed embedded platforms.  Drawing on his twenty-five years of experience with processor-based systems and ASIC design, Jim is a talented troubleshooter capable of solving complicated and subtle design flaws. Jim is well respected within his field and earned the ‘Engineer of the Year’ award in 1992 while on staff at GE Fanuc Automation; in addition Jim has several inventions currently under patent.
